Boliba Savings and Credit is the trading arm of Boliba Multi-Purpose Cooperative. The cooperative was formed with the sole purpose of soliciting deposits and offering credit to its members. The cooperative has over eighty professional staff and a management structure that employs modern business techniques to achieve its strategic objectives.

Boliba Savings and Credit Lesotho is looking for a visionary, diplomatic and innovative Chief Executive Officer with professional business acumen to lead the cooperative towards the fulfillment of its mandate.

The CEO is responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership and will closely coordinate and work with the Board of Directors and Executive Management.

The CEO is responsible for implementing the vision of the organisation and will be tasked with improving market share and ensuring that Boliba Savings and Credit becomes a competitive cooperative.

Key Responsibilities of the CEO include but are not limited to:

Leadership:

The CEO is expected to advise The Board on, and facilitate, good Corporate Governance.

This will include compliance with stakeholder regulations such as the Central Bank. They will ensure that the organisation is operating on best practices and latest trends in the industry.

The CEO, in liaison with executive management is responsible for developing Annual Workplans in line with the strategic plan. The CEO is also responsible for leading the organisation and the team in implementing plans and programs directed at growing the organisation’s market share.

The CEO shall enforce policies developed to create a harmonious workplace culture that promotes employee engagement. It is their responsibility to coordinate different team activities and promote cross team exchange of ideas. They will consistently display integrity and model BSC’s values.

Financial Management

The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the Enterprise Risk Management of the organisation. They will provide financial leadership and will be expected to continually review and revise financial operation policies and processes.

Operations

The CEO must oversee the development of new products and services that will promote the growth of the cooperative. They must also ensure that there is continuous improvement on products so that they are in line with and exceed industry standards and trends.

Relationship Management:

The CEO will represent the cooperative in all public platforms with the intention of maximising strategic relationships with market players. They shall promote the values of the cooperative internally and externally.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Leadership or any other related field
• 5-10 years in experience in Finance, Operations, Administration, Leadership and banking
• 5 years in a managerial position
• Knowledge on Cooperatives will be an added advantage.
• Master’s in Economics, Finance, Banking, Leadership will be an added advantage
