Job Title:        Maintenance Technician

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Internal & External candidates who meet the following job specifications. Please note that only candidates who meet the inherent requirements of the position will be considered.

Purpose:

To perform all electrical and general maintenance duties in plant and programming of PLC systems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for all electrical activities on assigned shifts including equipment changeover and Preventive services of the physical plant.
  • Responsible to record repairs and parts replaced and possible reasons for breakdowns (Job Cards)
  • Performs scheduled PM’s and unscheduled maintenance on all Lectra machines and equipment in a timely manner.
  • Understand the functionality and controls of the Shop floor control system to do manual operation and to aid in fault finding
  • Responsible for repairs of faulty equipment removed from production line during breakdowns.
  • Assist with general maintenance.
  • Maintain and repair all electrical and electronic systems for project facilities and equipment.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement for the assigned area
  • Responsible for 5S for the assigned area
  • Responsible for self study on all existing and new equipment to understand the working principal and diagrams to do effective fault finding

 Education/Experience:

  • Minimum, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Equivalent
  • Knowledge of PLC systems
  • Computer Literate
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Maintenance experience including knowledge and skills in an Automotive Industry is an added advantage
