Position: Business Development Manager

Alliance Insurance Company has a vacancy for position of Business Development Manager. The incumbent will be responsible to drive sales and service in the Corporate Distribution function in order to grow the Employee Benefits market share and Alliance EB brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS :

• Promoting Employee Benefits products and technology services through marketing presentations and training.

• Building strategic relationships with the Brokers and Key Clients by understanding their business needs and marketing challenges.

• Identifying new clients setting up suitable pension plans and group risk products for their employees.

• Negotiating with brokers, the level of Business and servicing requirements, and opening new brokers contracts.

• Developing and implementing call plans and marketing strategies.

• Providing advanced Investment product training to Trustees and Key Clients.

• Delivery of specific interventions e.g. joint calls, presentations to ensure effective communication of existing business and acquisition of new business.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

• B.Com (Accounting/ Finance) or ACCA or CIMA or related Accounting qualification/Bachelor’s Degree in Investments /Mathematics/Statistics.

• In depth experience dealing with clients (preferably in a sales environment within the Employee Benefits landscape).

• Solid regulatory and compliance awareness and understanding (PFA).

• Minimum of 5 years financial experience (with at least 3 years Business Development Manager experience) within the Employee Benefits industry

• High level of business and financial acumen, with an ability to work under pressure.

• Strong business development and or sales skills with capability to drive achievement of sales targets.

• Good negotiation and persuasion skills.

• Analytical mind with strong orientation to financial analysis and advanced Computer skills (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

• Advanced interpersonal and communication (presentation and oral) skill

• Financial Planning knowledge and appreciation.
