TCL is a duly registered company, currently operating at Liqhobong Mining Development Company (LMDC). The scope of work is but not limited to detailed design and construction of tailings conveyor and residue storage facility for the existing mining and process operations. Collection of water and management of such, drilling, blasting, load and haul services at Liqhobong Mine

TCL is searching for experienced, enthusiastic, result oriented and resilient Lesotho citizens to occupy the following position:

POSITION: Site Manager (2)

JOB DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY OF PURPOSE

• To provide strategic direction to the engineering and production departments by managing, coordinating and controlling all activities ensuring effective use of resources.
• Knowledge of drilling project, finance, and management principles.
• Ability to initialise the acquisition of resources and blocks to enable the achievement of the project initiative and activities.
• Preparing site reports, designs, maintaining quality control procedures and making safety inspections to ensure site safety, in an opencast mining environment.
• Responsible in ensuring that all operations are completed on time and within budget.
• Formulate strategic guidelines for company policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A relevant management/leadership qualification in mining industry.
• Opencast mining blasting certificate.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Site Manager/ Operations Manager in an opencast mining environment.
• Must have competent A.
• Computer literacy (Ms word, excel).
• Must possess valid light vehicle license.
