Job vacancy Electrician at Paray Mission Hospital

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Administrator the Electrician will assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixture using test system and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and correct the problem. Advise the management on whether continued operations of equipment could be hazardous to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure continues supply of electricity for 24 hours at the Hospital premises and staff houses
• Ensure back-up generator starts when the electricity is tripping off
• Ensure that Health and Safety signage is there and placed accordingly
• Draw the maintenance check and repair schedule
• Responsible to perform maintenance checks on the appliances at the Hospital and staff Houses at frequent intervals indicated on the schedule.
• Responsible to perform maintenance of medical equipment
• Examine all electrical equipment sent to the workshop, repair it or identify parts needed
• Carry out electrical work at high standards of work in the minimum time
• Supervises laborer(s) assigned for job assigned economically
• Perform physical sketches, or follow plan to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure performance to building and safety codes
• Advise the management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
• Inspect electricity systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or report to ensure compliance with code
• Notify the administrator of any break down or problems.

Qualifications and work experience:

Diploma in Electrical Engineering

5 year Working experience

Or

Certificate in Electrical Installation

3years Work experience

Computer literacy is the added advantage.
