PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Monitor and Utilize data to optimize the efficiency of a 5-10 million-tonne annual production of diamond mine operation
as a pivotal Data Analyst.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELATED EXPERIENCE

• B.Eng. (Mining Engineering / Industrial Engineering etc)
• 2 years’ Experience in the Mining industry, showcasing a deep understanding of Mining fleet dynamics.
• 2 Years’ Previous exposure and use of Fleet and diesel management software i.e. AVA, AFS, Cat MineStar and
  relevant MS Office suite programs.
• 2 Years’ Experience with Gilbarco Dataflex and AVA solutions.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Working knowledge of information management systems and processes.
• Familiar with the mining industry and open-pit mining practices
• Knowledge of applicable mine standards and health and safety regulations and requirements
• Basic understanding of planning processes.
• Knowledge of quality management principles and practices
• Working knowledge and exposure to fleet and diesel management systems.
• Conducting data analysis of the mining fleet to identify areas for improvement.
• Conducting in-depth investigations, analysis, and forming conclusions to improve operational efficiencies.
• Generating recommendations based on data insights to optimize the mining fleet’s performance.
• Strong mathematical skills to interpret and analyse complex data sets.
• Ability to work with large volumes of data efficiently and accurately.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Report writing skills
• Analytical with attention to detail
• proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
• Safety protocols and best practices
