Position: Sales Manager
Job Overview
This role is responsible for new client acquisition and revenue growth, while maintaining a competitive edge. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for maximizing our sales team’s potential; and crafting and implementing sales plans that meet the overall business strategy.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Participate in the development of Naledi Funeral Planners’ strategic plan and implement sales strategic objectives.
- Day-to-day management of the Sales team to ensure they are on track in achieving the set targets.
- Create tactical plans for the sales team for achieving sales objectives.
- Build and manage a highly effective sales force and oversee training and performance programs
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures strong brand presence in the market.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, or related field
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales Management position
- 3 to 5 years of sales experience
- Proven track record of positive sales performance
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong business acumen and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
