JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Claims Supervisor and the Claims Manager, the incumbent shall serve as an interface between Claims Management,
Brokers, Law Firms, Service Providers and Departmental Supervisors as well as Employees. This role requires accurately handling
claims information/documentation, billing resolution, and adherence to Claims department’s guidelines and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handling RI and third party recovery claims from allocation to finalisation • Negotiation and or persuasion of settlements by
individuals, insurance and non-insurance entities • Negotiation and designing of payment plans with third parties • Appointment
of Tracer for full third-party details where necessary • Regular follow up’s with third party’s and their insurer’s attorneys or
representatives • Register claims • Appointment of assessors/ adjustors and follow up on progress within the set service
standards • To attend, liaise and communicate with brokers and/ or clients to ensure claims are processed within the set
service standards and maintain good relations with business stakeholders • To recover from re-insurers • Advising
Underwriting Department of appropriate action after settlement of claims • Any other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS /REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualification* – LL.B / BCom Law or equivalent
Preferred *qualification – A minimum of any recognised certificate in any insurance related discipline (added advantage).
