For August 2024, Machabeng College has a vacancy for a School Bursar

Machabeng College is an international institution of learning fully accredited by IB and CIE. The school is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA). It offers the British National Curriculum in the Lower School, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in the Middle School, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in the Upper School. It is open to all academically qualified students, regardless of religious affiliation or national origin.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all bank accounts and cash flow relating to the institution.
  • Handling accounts receivable and payment processes.
  • Preparing accurate financial reports and appraisals.
  • Compiling budget and strategic financial goals, and managing the related processes.
  • Preparing and administering tuition bills and collection fees.
  • Monitor spending and revenue concerning budget and strategic financial goals.
  • Advising on financial projects, policies, tuition changes, and structure, as well as new investments.
  • Assisting with the organisation of student aid resources and scholarship recipient selection as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with college standards and regulations relating to education institutions.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all financial activities, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting sensitive financial information.
  • Other duties assigned.
  • Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and other related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting role of which 2 years must be in a managerial role.
  • Budget management experience is a must.
